About the Department

The Department of Dermatology at CIMER KGF is committed to excellence in patient care, medical education, and research in the field of skin, hair, and nail disorders. The department provides comprehensive training to undergraduate (MBBS) students while delivering evidence-based diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of dermatological conditions.

The department offers specialized care for common and complex dermatological disorders, including acne and its sequelae, pigmentary disorders such as vitiligo, hair and nail disorders, bacterial, fungal, and viral skin infections, eczema, psoriasis, urticaria, contact dermatitis, autoimmune skin diseases, vesiculobullous disorders, and sexually transmitted infections. Special emphasis is also given to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of nationally important diseases such as leprosy and HIV-related dermatological conditions.

Supported by experienced faculty and modern clinical facilities, the Department of Dermatology is dedicated to providing quality patient care while promoting academic excellence, research, and the adoption of advanced diagnostic and therapeutic techniques. The department strives to enhance patient outcomes and contribute to the healthcare needs of Kolar Gold Fields (KGF) and the surrounding communities.
